Stem Cells in Cancer

The symposium aims to critical evaluate novel findings and models of how stem cells contribute to cancer and will cover the following themes: (1) Cells at the origin of cancer, (2) Stem cells and metastasis, (3) Cancer stem cell niches, and (4) Approaches to identify cancer stem cells.
The programme includes world-class experts in the field of stem cells and cancer from Europe and the United States. To give new junior investigators as well as postodcs and PhD students the opportunity to discuss their work with established scientists, every session will have at least one selected speaker from the submitted posters.
To maximize cross-disciplinary interactions and networking and to critically evaluate recent developments in this very competitive and rapidly growing field of research, the program includes an extended poster session.
